In collaboration with CBIE
May 15 -17, 2013 - Niagara, Ontario
Connecting; Sharing; Learning
Twenty years ago last May, a group of international educators from Ontario universities and colleges met at Brock University, co-hosted by Niagara College, for the first Ontario Association of International Educators conference, in collaboration with the Canadian Bureau for International Education. Since then, the annual conference has been hosted by other Ontario colleges and universities in the belief that international educators have the expertise to advance international education in the province and that they are eager to learn from each other.
The 2013 OAIE conference will return to Niagara, May 15-17, hosted by Niagara College and Brock University. In keeping with the raison d’être of OAIE, the 2013 Conference theme is OAIE: Connecting; Sharing; Learning. Programming will be clustered around: International Student Advising and Support; Exchange/Mobility Advising and Support; ESL Programming; International Student Services; and Internationalization and Institutional Development. If you wish to submit a proposal for submission, please refer to the link below. The deadline for proposals is March 8. Conference registration is now open.
Conference events will take place at Brock University with the banquet hosted at Niagara College’s campus in Niagara-On-The-Lake. Conference attendees will be accommodated in single rooms in Earp Residence at Brock University. For a preview of accommodation, please refer to the link below.
The Niagara Peninsula is well known for its wines and recreational activities, as well as its historical significance in the Underground Railroad and the War of 1812, so we will provide you with information on these in case you wish to stay the weekend.
