Student Life & Community Experience is a new initiative at Brock University designed to cater to the well-rounded student. We encourage students to participate in all aspects of campus life by getting involved with our incentives program and utilizing the Student Life & Community Experience Events Calendar. Being actively involved in university life enhances the overall experience at Brock. It is our goal to support students as they show their Brock spirit.
Getting involved around campus and in the community has many benefits for both yourself and others. By participating in campus events, as well as giving your time within the Niagara community, students will be surprised by the number of new people they meet and the fun that they have. There are plenty of opportunities to gain experience that will stand out on your résumé and allow you to build your network. Our program offers the Brock community the means to quickly and easily find out what is going on around campus and in the community. By getting involved with our Participation Passport, there are plenty of great incentives to earn and lots of fun to have.
We are developing an incentives program to encourage students to become more involved in university and community life. We will be rewarding students for their involvement in a diverse range of campus and community events, which will be tracked on the Student Life & Community Experience Participation Passport. Check out the link on our main website for more information.
The Student Life & Community Expierence Events Calendar is a one-stop shop for all events and activities taking place on and off campus. This new calendar will allow users to search more efficiently for specific types of events. Searches can be done by audience type and/or event type. Events will be submitted to the web calendar by means of an online submission system. This new system will also serve as a gateway to advertising via the Brock website, posters and Brock TV. This calendar is open to every person at Brock as well as in Niagara.
There are many opportunities to not only get involved around campus, but within the Niagara community. There are several events that take place in the community in which Brock participates. There are also several opportunities for students to volunteer within organizations in Niagara and at Brock. You will be giving back to the community and will have a deep satisfaction in helping others. The following are some of the events that we have been involved in over the past year:
