2012 Undergraduate Library Research Award Winner Announced

The winner of this year’s $500 2012 Undergraduate Library Research Award is Jeremy Colangelo.  Jeremy is a fourth year English major who has the distinction of being the only student to have won this award twice.  (He won it the first time as a second year student).  Jeremy’s 2012 essay describes how he conducted library research on the use of meme theory for a paper on the French Revolution.  Jeremy made use of primary and secondary sources found in the Library’s collections, and used an array of databases.  He also worked with Help Desk staff and Pam Jacobs, the History liaison librarian, while researching his topic.  Jeremy states that, “My research vastly increased my database skills, and taught me how to be resourceful in my research.”  Congratulations, Jeremy!
