The Co-op Programs Office takes great care to ensure that all of our co-op students are prepared for their transition from the academic setting to the world of work. It is important to all of us that your first work term experience is one that builds your self-confidence and shows our corporate partners that Brock Co-op students are prepared to make an immediate contribution.
Undergraduate student workshops typically take place in the Fall (D2) of year two of the co-op program and are assigned a course code of 0N90 (ie. ADMI 0N90, SCIE 0N90) for each program. Please refer to the appropriate Undergraduate Calendar for sequencing of this course.
Graduate student workshops take place in both academic terms. Depending on your program, you will attend the workshop series in D2 or D3. The graduate workshop series is assigned a course code of 5N90. Please refer to the Graduate Calendar for sequencing of this course www.brocku.ca/graduate-studies
Workshops are mandatory and you are expected to attend all scheduled sessions. In addition to topics on resume writing, interview skills, diversity in the workplace, and the job posting process, each co-op program will offer unique topics, as every industry and cultural sector will be looking for unique skills and training.
