Fitness Camp for Young Athletes

An exciting way for youth to stay fit through sport-specific training, both indoors and out. Participants will experience the university’s fitness centre (incl. machines, free weights, and resistance tubing) under the guidance of a Certified Personal Trainer. They will also be introduced to stability and balance training using non-traditional apparatus such as stability balls and BOSUs (half-ball balance trainers). Athletes will develop a new sense of confidence while pushing themselves in foot speed, agility and sport-related challenges.

Drop-off and pick-up:
Parents can park briefly in parking "Lot P" adjacent to the Campus Security building. An instructor will meet your child there and accompany them to the facility. At the end of each session, a camp instructor will again walk your children back to "P Lot" for pick-up.

What to Bring:

  • Appropriate workout clothing for both indoor and outdoor activity (including shoes for both)
  • Sunscreen and a hat
  • Lunch and snacks
  • Refillable water bottle (provided on first day)
  • An energized mind and body!

Registration Includes:

  • Camp t-shirt
  • Recreation Services water bottle (1 per camper)
