The Ontario March of Dimes offers non-medical personal support to staff and students at Brock who have a permanent physical disability. Services usually run from September until April (duration of the school year) and include assistance with rising, retiring, toileting, bathing, dressing, hair care, range of motion exercises, assistance with meals and laundry.
In order to receive these services, staff and students must call the Ontario March of Dimes first to make a referral and receive an application package. The number to call is 905-687-8484 ext.232 (Dianne Ouwendyk). Once the application is received by the Ontario March of Dimes, the program manager will arrange to meet with the individal(s) in order to assess them for eligibility. This process may take some time, therefore it is suggested that those requiring services in September, call the Ontario March of Dimes in May or June.
* Please note that not everyone who applies will be eligible for service.
