The Goodman School of Business at Brock is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), which recognizes the highest quality business programs in the world. This allows us to be one of eight Canadian universities with a Chapter in the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honours Society (BGS) . With 513 Chapters worldwide, BGS celebrates academic excellence in undergraduate and graduate business studies.
The Mission of BGS is “to encourage and honour academic achievement in the study of business, to foster personal and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society, and to serve its lifelong members”.
Membership in BGS is lifetime and the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive. Students who achieve membership in BGS are recognized as the top business students in the world! With more than 650,000 members worldwide, the Society's membership comprises the brightest and best of the world's business leaders.
Undergraduate Students: Students who are in the top 10% of their third year and graduating undergraduate classes are invited to become lifetime members of BGS.
Graduate Students: Students who are in the top 20% of their graduate class are invited to become lifetime members of the Society.
In addition to the recognition of academic excellence, members can access benefits such as the BGS CareerCentral job board, the BetaNet on-line membership network, as well as the Student Leadership Forum, scholarships, and other member benefits that include discounts at participating retailers and a complementary one year subscription to Business Week.
