Published on March 20 2014

In the wake of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, this question becomes particularly relevant:

Do mega-sport events inspire people to become more active?

Exploring theory, research and practice, Luke Potwarka is interested in exploring the extent to which mega-sport events inspire people to become more active.

Potwarka is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies at the University of Waterloo. His research is focused on understanding the behaviors and experiences of sport spectators and leisure participants.
