The first Brock international student won Hamilton Marathon

Published on November 22 2012

On Nov 4th, Jesse Gibbs who has spent the past year at Brock on exchange, finished his 42km mission and became the first to cross the finish line in Hamilton Marathon.

This Kiwi Boy is the first Brock international student who won a Marathon race, and this is his first try in Canada. He intended to tackle the Toronto Waterfront Marathon but illness forced him to give up.

Surprisingly, Gibbs said running is not his favourite sport, but wining this race inspired him to aim at 2020 Olympics.
