Want to become a SMART 21st Century Teacher?

Through a partnership with SMART Technologies, the Teacher Education Department has begun offering discounted training sessions at the Hamilton campus.
Over one hundred educators have already participated training sessions that introduced them to the basics of using a SMART board by completing the SMART Notebook 1 and Notebook 2 training. The next offering of Notebook 1 & 2 training sessions will take place on May 12, 2012. Each 6-hour course is taught by Brock affiliated SMART Certified trainers.

Teachers that are experience SMART users can take the next step in becoming a SMART Certified Interactive Teacher, and earn the SMART 21st-Century Teacher designation by completing the SMART Lesson Development (Beginner or Intermediate) Workshop, or SMART Classroom Suite or SMART Table Training. Each 6-hour course is taught by SMART Certified trainers. Registration is open to teachers, teacher candidates, and school administrators.
