Sport Management Alumnus named youngest GM in OHL History

Published on April 28 2011

With just 25 years of life under his belt, he has accomplished what most in the sport business accomplish with 25 years of experience under theirs. Kyle Dubas, Brock University Sport Management Alumus, has been named the General Manager for the Ontario Hockey Leagues, Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

This accomplishment marks the hiring of the youngest GM in league history, and among the youngest in all professional leagues.  In fact the closest resemblance that has been made to the hiring of Kyle is, Theo Epstein, who at the age of 28 was hired by the Boston Red Sox in 2002 to oversee their club; consequently winning a World Series two years later.

With confidence on his side, Kyle will begin his journey as GM, using his days as a player agent with Uptown Sport Management, along with the knowledge he acquired from the Sport Management program at Brock, to prove that his age is not what should be judged, but his abilities and sports aptitude; which will be determined in time.

Congratulations to Kyle for his outstanding achievements.
