Published on February 11 2011

New collective agreements have been reached between the University and two CUPE locals.

Three-year collective agreements were ratified this week between the University and CUPE Local 1295, which represents maintenance and trades employees at Brock, and also with CUPE 2220, which represents staff at Rodman Hall.

The CUPE 1295 agreement was reached in conciliation on Feb. 7, then ratified by both parties on Feb. 10.

The CUPE 2220 agreement was reached in conciliation on Feb. 8, then ratified by the union on Feb. 9 and by the University on Feb. 10.

Negotiations are continuing between the University and three other unions — CUPE 4207 Unit 1, which covers TAs and part-time instructors; CUPE Local 4207 unit 2, which covers ESL coordinators; and OSSTF District 35, which covers administrative support staff.
