Cottagers are being warned about the risk of deadly snake bites this summer.
John Birnbaum, executive director of the Georgian Bay Association, said six
people in the area have been bitten by the Massasauga rattlesnake, the only
poisonous snake in Ontario. Only one or two people are usually bitten each
summer, he said. |
