Earth Day Photo/Video Contest
Brock University's Office of Marketing and Communications (the “contest sponsor”) is running a contest from 1 p.m. EDT on Tuesday April 15, 2014 until 11:59 p.m. EDT on Tuesday April 22, 2014.
Current Brock University students, including those who completed their studies in April 2014, will have the chance to win one of three Visa gift cards.
How to enter:
Send us a photo or video that shows how you’re making Brock University a greener place (e.g. using a reusable water bottle, walking or biking to school instead of driving). Share your submission, or a link to it, with Brock’s Facebook page in timeline post, message or comment.
All constructive submissions have a chance to win one of the prizes. Offensive or inappropriate content is subject to being deemed ineligible and removed from the Facebook page. Entries submitted must be the participant’s own creations and may not contain copyrighted works not owned by the participant.
Each entrant may win only one prize, regardless of multiple entries or multiple accounts.
The contest sponsor will not be responsible for entries that are lost, misdirected or delayed, or any technical difficulties an entrant may experience. Entries that do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified. The contest sponsor’s rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the eligibility of submissions and the awarding of the prizes.
The contest sponsor accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or claims caused by or resulting from the contest.
Two independent judges provided by BUSU will select the best overall submission (either photo or video), followed by the best photo and best video from the remaining submissions. The entrant with the best overall submission will receive a Visa gift card valued at $100, the entrant with the best photo submission will receive a $50 Visa gift card, and the entrant with the best video submission will receive a $50 Visa gift card.
Winners will be selected on April 23, 2014, and notified via Facebook within seven days.
If a selected entrant does not respond within seven days of being notified, he/she will be disqualified and another entrant selected to receive a prize. Brock University will not be responsible for failed attempts to contact a selected entrant.
Selected entrants may be required to provide proof of enrolment at Brock University.
Winners can visit the Office of Marketing and Communications in Mackenzie Chown Complex A 205 between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday to pick up their prizes. If a winner is unable to pick up the prize, he/she can make arrangements to have it mailed to an address within Canada. Brock University will not be responsible for delayed, undelivered or misdelivered mail.
The prize for best overall submission is valued at $100, and the prizes for best photo and best video are valued at $50 each. No purchase necessary. The odds of winning depend on the number of submissions.
Brock University reserves the right to terminate or amend this contest at any time and in any way, without prior notice.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook. By entering the contest, participants fully release Facebook from any liability.
