Kick-Starting Entrepreneurship

Are you thinking about launching a small business and looking to learn the key aspects of entrepreneurship?

The Kick-Starting Entrepreneurship program is a series of workshops designed for young entrepreneurs to learn about the key areas of entrepreneurship and starting a business. These workshops are open to anyone interested in learning more about how to get started as an entrepreneur.

All workshops will take place in-person at the Brock LINC at Brock University or you can join online. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.

Canadian Entrepreneurship for International Students
Date: Tuesday January 23, 2024

Are you an international student interested in learning about starting a business in Canada? Join the Brock LINC and representatives from Sobirovs Law Firm to discuss the available immigration pathways and business consideration for international students looking to start a business, relocate, or expand an overseas business to Canada.

Entrepreneurial Mindset

What is an Entrepreneurial Mindset? Do you have the skills and mindset to become an entrepreneur? The Entrepreneurial Mindset workshop will introduce you to the skills that make up an entrepreneurial mindset and the skills that enable people to identify and make the most of opportunities, overcome and learn from setbacks and succeed in a variety of settings. As part of this workshop, you will also take a FREE assessment to learn about your top entrepreneurial mindset skills.

Market Research Workshop

The Market Research for your Startup workshop will provide an overview of the different types of market research, how to go through the steps of market research and examples of primary and secondary market research activities. This workshop will also include information on how to use the Brock Library and the resources available to students through the Brock Library.

Entrepreneur Panel

This event brings together Brock student and alumni entrepreneurs who have launched startup companies. Come and learn how they got started with taking an idea and turning it into a startup company while being a student. Panelists will talk about their successes, the challenges they have overcome and discuss the resources they have used to help launch and grow their businesses. Bring your questions to ask the panelists!
