International Student Orientation, Spring 2014

This orientation is prepared to help international students who will start to study at Brock in May 2014. It will be on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the International Centre, Lounge 104. Dinner will be provided. 

During the orientation, we will go through the following information:

• International Student Service office people, location and services
• Medical insurance (UHIP) and other coverage
• On campus and off campus health services
• Important dates
• Upcoming events
• Ways to get involved
• Immigration Canada regulations
• Social Insurance Number (SIN)
• Academic Advising
• Finance office – student accounts
• Brock ID card
• Campus security
• BUSU (Brock U Students’ Union)
• Recreation Services
• Student Life and Community Experience
• Office of Academic Integrity

Orientation Session Day: Tuesday, September 2, 2014. 9:30 am - 4:00 pm, Sean O’Sullivan Theatre.

It is very important that all new international students attend the Orientation Session Day organized by International Services & Programs Abroad to learn about the academic culture at Brock University, banking, the library, payment of fees, as well as learn about the international clubs on campus and the many social activities for international students.
