Introduction
Andrew is a former student of the department of Applied Linguistics. For the past several years he has taught in various capacities for the Department of Applied Linguistics and for the Faculty of Education in the Graduate and Undergraduate department. Andrew currently holds an ILTA position within the Department of Applied Linguistics.

Teaching
Andrew is currently teaching Academic English as a Subsequent Language (AESL 1P92). Over the last several years he has taught undergraduate courses for the Department of Applied Linguisitics, and undergraduate and graduate courses for the Faculty of Education.

Service
Andrew has supervised Graduate students, and served on thesis committees. In addition he has been a second reader on more than 20 Master of Education projects. Andrew’s service has also included journal article reviews for the Journal of Curriculum Studies (JCS), and for the Alberta Journal of Educational Research (AJER). Andrew was editor of the quarterly scholarly newsletter of the International Study Association on Teachers and Teaching (ISATT) from 1999-2009, and was a member of conference organizing committee for the ISATT conference held in July 2007 at Brock University.
Research interests
Andrew’s research interests include Second Language Acquisition, ESL in higher education contexts, language testing, professorial demeanour, professionalism and education, and higher education curricula.
