Foundations In Problem Solving and Conflict Management
Silver Level
IMPORTANT NOTE: You must have successfully completed the Bronze level of the Foundations series to register for the Silver practicum. Successful candidates at the Silver level of the Foundations In Leadership Practicum Series will have available for their use a practical model for problem solving and experience using the behaviours that facilitate movement through the various stages of the model. They will have an awareness of the blocks to creative problem solving and experience with strategies for engaging their creative self. Their self awareness will be raised in the area of knowledge about their preferred conflict management styles and factors influencing their anger management. They will build on their interpersonal communications skills from the Bronze level, by applying them in the area of conflict mediation. Working together, the participants will help foster in each other the skills and attitudes that turning “conflict” into productive contact and “change” into opportunity. The level consists of 6 two hour session with some between session tasks (in all about a 15 - 16 hour time commitment). There is a $45.00 fee.
