The Professional Masters Preparation Certificate Program – Business Stream (PMPC - Business) requires instructors for PMPC 6P15 for the Winter 2014 term. Instructors are responsible for the preparation of weekly lesson plans, tests, quizzes and assignments for their courses highlighting objectives and learning goals of the Goodman School of Business curriculum. They are also responsible for the marking and evaluation of in-class work and record keeping and attending monthly meetings with the program co-ordinator.
The minimum qualifications for a new credit instructor are a related undergraduate degree and a TESL Certificate with a supervised practicum; Master’s level qualifications in related areas (e.g. Applied Linguistics, English, Languages, Business Communications) are considered an asset; post-secondary teaching experience, especially in ESL/EFL and Business English, is very desirable. Applicant must be able to demonstrate knowledge of strategies and theories related to accent reduction. The successful candidate will hold sufficient experience teaching accent reduction.
