Job SummaryEach IELP course is one hour per day, Monday to Friday, during the length of the term. Instructors are responsible for the preparation of weekly lesson plans, tests, quizzes and assignments for their courses. They are also responsible for marking and evaluation of in-class work and record keeping.
QualificationsThe minimum qualification for a new non-credit instructor is a related undergraduate degree combined with TESL Certificate with a supervised practicum, or its equivalent; Master’s level qualifications in related areas (e.g. Applied Linguistics, English, Languages) are considered an asset; and post-secondary teaching experience, especially in ESL/EFL, and particularly overseas, is very desirable.
