Mapping the New Knowledges Graduate Student Research Conference 2011

The final event for Mapping the New Knowledges 2010-11 is the all-day Graduate Student Conference for oral and poster presentations. The event will feature Wendy Ward, Brock's newest Canada Research Chair in Bone and Muscle Development, as the keynote speaker. Students from across all faculties will participate in interactive panel presentations and a lunchtime poster session.

This is a free event.

8:30 to 9 a.m.: Registration and Breakfast – Plaza 400 Level Mezzanine

9 to 9:30 a.m.: Welcome – Marilyn Rose, Dean, Faculty of Graduate Studies; Opening Address, Associate Professor Wendy Ward, Canada Research Chair, Faculty of Applied Health Sciences – Plaza 400 Level Mezzanine

9:30 to 11 a.m.: Concurrent Oral Sessions I – Plaza

11 to 11:30 a.m.: Graduate Mentorship Award presentation and coffee break – Plaza 400 Level Mezzanine

11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: GSA workshop for graduate students – Plaza 400 Level Mezzanine

12:30 to 2 p.m.: Poster viewing and lunch – Plaza 400 Level Mezzanine

2 to 3:30 p.m.: Concurrent Oral Sessions II – Plaza

3:30 to 4 p.m.: Closing remarks and Graduate Students’ Association door prizes – Isaac’s

4:30 p.m.: Graduate Students’ Association social event – Isaac’s
