Graduate Symposium, Poster and Oral Research Presentations

The seventh annual Mapping the New Knowledges conference will showcase graduate student research via oral and poster research presentations. The conference will also feature a professional development workshop arranged by Brock’s Graduate Students’ Association.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduate students to present their research to fellow students and faculty, and also to develop their conference presentation skills.

8 a.m.:  Registration and breakfast - Plaza 400 Level Mezzanine

9 to 9:45 a.m.: Welcome and Keynote Address - Plaza 400 Level Mezzanine
                            Keynote speaker:

9:45 to 11:30 a.m.: Concurrent Oral Sessions I - Plaza Levels 3 and 4

Youth University Research Prize

New this year — Brock's Youth University supports Graduate Student Research Prize
Brock’s Youth University is supporting a research prize for oral and poster presentations at the Mapping the New Knowledges Graduate Student Research Conference to be held on April 11, 2012.
Conference participants must identify their desire to be adjudicated for the prizes when submitting their conference Call for Proposals. Judging will take place the day of the conference. Each award has a value of $200.

Graduate Mentorship Awards 2012

The Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Mentorship Awards at Brock University were established in 2011 to recognize exceptional mentorship of graduate students by a core faculty member in one or more of Brock’s graduate programs.
The awards honour and recognize the essential role of mentorship in graduate education by graduate faculty supervisors in two categories:
      • mentorship of master’s students only
      • mentorship of both master’s and PhD students
