Distinguished Speaker Series

The Distinguished Speaker Series addresses topics in today’s educational landscape. The Faculty of Education aims to share with the University community and general public compelling research, perspectives and experiences and offer insight into education issues in our region and beyond.

The Faculty of Education launched the Distinguished Speaker Series on September 22 2011 with a lecture by Dr. Sharan B. Merriam, Professor of Adult Education and Qualitative Research at the University of Georgia. She delivered the inaugural lecture, entitled Globalization: Challenges and Opportunities for Adult and Higher Education

A panel discussion led by educators followed the lecture.

Distinguished Speaker Series events are free and open to the public.
