Field Experiences (Years 2-4)

Students in Concurrent Education are required to complete the following administrative procedures for each field experience in - CHYS 2P15, EDBE 8P15, EDBE 8P50, EDUC 8P17, 8P18, 8P19, ESCI 3P91 and MATH 3P91.

  1. Students are required to have a police check with vulnerable sector screening. You may use a police check obtained for employment or other purposes provided that it includes a vulnerable sector screen and that it is NOT OLDER THAN SIX MONTHS at the start of your field experience. You are responsible for providing your field experience school(s) with your police record check. Be prepared to present the original document and provide a copy to be kept on file. For more information about police check requirements and the application process, please see:  If your local police service requires a letter from us explaining your need for a police check, please email Mona Lavoie at
  2. Students (other than those in CHYS 2P15) are required to complete an online Field Experience Agreement. Details about this agreement, including how to access it online, will be provided by email from the Concurrent Education office within the first two weeks of the course start date. You are not permitted to begin your field experience until you have received your police check AND this online agreement has been completed. The Field Experience Agreement verifies that you have fulfilled your requirement to obtain a police check and that you understand the responsibilities related to completing your field experience.
  3. Students must track their field experience hours using the Field Experience Record available at: A hard copy of the Field Experience Record form must be completed and submitted to the Concurrent Education office (WH8A) no later than the due date of your Field Assignment. Please do not submit this form to your course instructor.
  4. For specific information about each individual field experience within the Concurrent Education Programs, please see:
If you experience difficulties arranging your field experience or you have questions about field experience requirements, please contact Ethna Bernat, Associate Administrative Director, Concurrent Education Programs, at or x5041.
