Associate Dean Research and International Initiatives Message

Welcome to the Faculty of Education at Brock University.

Please explore this website to discover a wealth of information about the many people, activities, and resources that make up this active and engaged community. We are learners, educators, scholars, and service providers committed to making a positive difference locally and around the world.

As the Associate Dean of Research and International Initiatives, I am responsible for providing leadership, outreach, and support for all research and international initiatives for the Faculty. This means, I am here to support students, staff, faculty, and our international partners or guests.

I work in conjunction with the various departments and units in the Faculty to advance our research, scholarship, and creative activity in Canada and abroad. Together with the Office of Research, I endeavour to support members of the Faculty of Education community by identifying potential funding opportunities, reviewing grant and scholarship applications, consulting on scholarly projects, supporting research collaborations and research assistantships, organizing research and publishing workshops, and interpreting administrative or regulatory requirements appropriate to your scholarly work.

I also oversee the entire range of international initiatives for the Faculty as our teaching, learning, and scholarship extend beyond Canada. I welcome international students and scholars, encourage opportunities for local students and scholars to expand their work into international settings, and facilitate international partnerships and protocols. We live in an increasingly globalized world that demands our ability and commitment to work together across nations and cultures. This understanding informs teaching, research, and service within the Faculty of Education. Join with us to promote and advance international and intercultural understandings.

Together, we look forward to opportunities to work and learn with you, so please take the time to connect with us in person.
