Ian Beddis Gymnasium

The Ian Beddis Gym is equipped with drop down curtains that can divide the gymnasium into four separate areas. Each area can accommodate one basketball court, one volleyball court, or three badminton courts.

  • Great location for multiple activities at one time, graduations and trade shows.

Bob Davis Gymnasium

The Bob Davis Gym is home to the Badger Basketball and Volleyball teams. This gymnasium is used for a variety of Physical Education and Kinesiology activity classes during weekdays. It can be divided into two separate areas with a removable dividing wall and a vinyl floor cover can be put down for non-athletic events.

  • Seating for 900 guests in bleachers

Gym 2

Gym 2 is a multipurpose gymnasium. It has numerous educational gymnastic tools and is the main facility for Brock’s Children’s Movement Program. It also houses intramurals and various recreational programs. A vinyl floor cover is available in this gym.

Alumni Turf Field

The newest addition to our athletic space, Alumni Field is a regulation-size artificial turf athletics surface with a full lighting system for night use. The 69 x 109 metre field has lines for lacrosse, rugby and soccer. In addition to being used by our Varsity teams for home games, the field is utilized for all students through intramural sports.

Varsity soccer and rugby field

Located near the Village residences, the fields offer the same amount of space as the turf field at a lower cost. Perfect for when you want to have an organized game of soccer, rugby, flag football, or ultimate frisbee.

Aquatic Centre

The Eleanor Misener Aquatic Centre at Brock University is the largest swimming facility in the Niagara Region. Our 50m Olympic size pool provides room for numerous water activities at the same time.

• Hydraulic floor in the shallow end can raise and lower turning the pool from a lap pool into a shallow wading pool for parents and tots

• Whirlpool and sauna

Indoor Track

The 200m indoor track is suspended above the Ian Beddis gymnasium and provides an extraordinary view of the activity areas below. The track has a rubberized surface and three lanes designated to accommodate both runners and walkers.

Zone Fitness Centre

The centre is 5,100 square feet of state-of-the-art equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, stair masters, upright bikes, recumbent bikes, total body trainers, an indoor rower and spin bikes for cardio training.

Tennis Courts & Outdoor Basketball Courts

Four outdoor tennis courts are located west of the Walker Sports Complex. Two basketball nets are located on the end of the courts for those wishing to shoot some hoops. Tennis and basketball equipment are available for rent at the Cage Equipment Room.

Studios

The upper level of the Walker Sports Complex houses two multi-purpose hardwood floor rooms.

High Ropes Course

Brock Universities ropes course is an obstacle course for youth and adults that is used as a tool to facilitate personal challenge and growth physically, mentally and emotionally. Our course includes elements, both high and low, and an a rock climbing wall. Elements are designed for different levels of challenge and abilities. Our trained facilitators will guide and support participants through the climbing process.

Hiking Trails

Brock University falls within the Niagara Escarpment Biosphere reserve which stretches over 725 km, one of 18 found within Canada. Within the Niagara Escarpment that surrounds Brock, is the Bruce Trail. It is the longest and oldest hiking train in Canada with many access points from the top of the escarpment. We are happy to work with your group to set walking, hiking and running trails to enjoy during your stay at Brock.
