Author of Reclaiming Patterns of Pastoral Ministry, and The Justification of the Ungodly: An Interpretation of Romans. Father of five and an avid bird-watcher.

Adjunct Professor, Director of Lutheran Francophone Studies
Studied at Indiana University (French, Spanish), Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne, and the University of Ottawa, Rev. Somers has served parishes in Ottawa and Montreal. He is currenty a Missionary-at-Large on behalf of the East District of Lutheran Church–Canada, and instructs men heading towards Holy Ordination in the French language.
