BIOGRAPHY
Kim Morrissey was born in 1955 in Canada, and now lives and works in England. Her first collection of poetry, Batoche (1989) shared the Saskatchewan Writers Guild Poetry Manuscript award with a collection by Lorna Crozier and Patrick Lane. Batoche also received a Gerald Lampert Award Nomination for Best First Book of Poetry. Both Batoche and Morrisey's second volume of poetry, Poems for Men Who Dream of Lolita, have been set to music and performed as operas. Morrissey has also written several acclaimed dramas and documentaries, including Dora (1994) and Clever As Paint: the Rossettis in Love (1998).
