Father David Graham Scott is the Orthodox Christian Associate Chaplain on campus. Fr. Scott has degrees from the University of Toronto (B.A.), Emmanuel College, Toronto (B.D.), and Strasbourg (3rd cycle Doctorate in religious sciences). He has taught Religious Studies at Laurentian University and Brock University.
A United Church Minister for 34 years, he entered the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese in 2001. He was ordained a Deacon in 2003 and a priest in 2008. He is pastor of St Ignatius of Antioch Orthodox Church, 332 Carlton St., St Catharines.
Fr. Scott is available for any student, faculty, or staff member at Brock. His personal journey from Humanism in his teens to the Lord Jesus Christ as an undergraduate has helped him to connect with many different perspectives. He found his courses in Pastoral Counseling at Niagara College with Dr Leonard Kirk to be particularly helpful.
He was married for 44 years to the late Cynthia McGahey. He has a married son and a married daughter, and five grandchildren.
He can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org (please mark subject OrthoChap) or during his hours in the Chaplain's Lounge in Decew R216.
