GRADUATE CAREER ASSISTANT

When: 
July 14, 2014 - 8:00am - July 25, 2014 - 4:00pm

This is a part-time opportunity for graduate level students.  To be eligible students must be enrolled in a full time graduate degree program at Brock University and be available for one week of training from August 25-29th.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting  undergraduate and graduate students with career planning and job search information
  • Providing constructive feedback on job search documents such as resumes, CV’s, cover letters, letters of intent and portfolios.
  • Contributing to the development of tailored career resources for graduate students
  • Assisting with the coordination and delivery of career and job search preparation workshops for graduate students
  • Participating in a variety of team projects and events such as newsletters and department events
  • Actively sharing ideas and contributing to team discussions at weekly staff meetings
  • Performing administrative tasks and maintaining daily statistics as required
  • Maintaining the appearance of the Career Resource Centre
  • All other duties as assigned

·                                                                                 Employment condition: Participation one week of training from August 25th to August 29th      

 

Education:              Completion of at least one year of graduate studies at Brock University
