Application Process

Summary of Application Documents

Due to the high volume of applications that we receive, we are not able to automatically confirm the receipt of each individual application. We would be happy to check on the status of your application upon request and we will contact you by email in the event that we require more information, would like to speak with you or make a decision on your application. That you for your patience.

Beginning in October 2012, all applications for the program must be completed electronically. If you are offered admission to our program, you will be required to send in official transcripts and official proof of degree completion. Please visit the document FAQ for further details.

All applications must include:

  • Online OUAC Application
  • Non Refundable Application Fee ($100 Canadian)
    • The application fee can be paid by credit card or by certified cheque. All application fees are received by OUAC, not by Brock University.
  • Original transcripts from all post-secondary institutions
    • The scanned copy must be of your official transcript, not your student copy.
    • Any documents that are not in English or French must be translated into English and notarized before they are accepted. The translation should be scanned and uploaded.
    • If proof of degree completion is not noted on your transcript, please upload a scanned copy of that document.
  • Three letters of reference
    • Reference letters can be academic and/or professional.
    • Reference letters can only be submitted using the electronic reference system through the online application.
    • Once you have submitted your application (which includes providing the names and email addresses of your referees) and submitted payment, your referees will be emailed with instructions to complete the electronic reference report.
  • GMAT or GRE official score report
    • Please send GRE Scores to Institution Code: 6773
    • Please send GMAT scores to Brock University- Faculty of Business
    • An unofficial scanned copy of the test-takers score report will also be accepted.
  • Statement of interest
    • Your statement of interest should be one page, single or double spaced.
    • This can now be submitted with your online application.
  • Résumé
    • This can now be submitted with your online application.
  • Official TOEFL, IELTS or ITELP  score (if applicable) 
    • Do you need this? Please contact the Graduate Programs Office for an assessment.
    • The Faculty of Business may request an English Language score from any applicant whose first language is not English OR who has not been educated in English at the undergraduate level.
    • An unofficial scanned copy of the test-takers score report will also be accepted.
  • A personal interview may be required.

Official test scores must be sent directly from the testing agency to the Faculty of Business Graduate Programs Office.

Once submitted, all documents are the property of Brock University and will not be returned. Applications that are inactive for one year will be destroyed.

Application Deadlines

You can begin the MSc program in September of each year.
  
September Deadline 2013: 
Applications from international students requiring visas will no longer be considered for September 2013.
Applications from Canadian citizens and PRs are still being accepted but applicants are encouraged to submit applications soon as there are limited spots remaining. 
 
International applicants should apply to the program at least 5 months before their desired start date but must be aware of current student visa processing times before submitting their applications.
 
Application review will take between 1-2 months. You will receive an emailed and mailed notification of your decision.
