  • An average of at least 75% in the last two years of study (Canadian Equivalent)
  • A TOEFL (80 IBT) or IELTS (6.5) test score.
  • Work experience is not required but is an asset to an application.
  • A personal interview is required, either in person or on the phone.

What TOEFL/IELTS score do you require?

The minimum acceptable score for TOEFL is 550(PBT)/ 80 IBT and IELTS is 6.5.

Can I apply to the IMAcc program without the TOEFL or IELTS score?

Students in China may apply to the IMAcc program without the TOEFL or IELTS score. However, you have to take our English test, (the ITELP) through our authorized agents in China. After you finish your test, it will be sent back to Canada for marking. The minimum acceptable test score is 530.

Students in Canada can also take the ITELP at Brock University.

Do you require the GMAT?
The GMAT is not required for the IMAcc program.

What if my average is below 75%?

The IMAcc program is extremely competitive and admission is not guaranteed for any applicant. Our successful applicants all have averages of 75% and above. The program is extremely rigorous and requires a strong academic background in accounting.

If you are a recent accounting graduate and if your average is significantly below 75%, or if you have under 75% in any of your accounting courses then the IMAcc program may not be the best fit for you.
