Larviciding continues on campus

Brock University is currently conducting a larviciding program, under the authority of the Region’s Medical Officer of Health, to control larval mosquitoes and prevent their development into vectors of West Nile virus.

The application of larvicide by Ministry of the Environment-licensed applicators started earlier this month and will continue until Sept. 14.

The larvicide (Mosquiron 0.12CRD – ingot formulation, PCP No. 31079), under the federal Pest Control Products Act, will be applied by direct hand application into catch basins at Brock-owned and leased properties within Niagara.

For details on the exact locations and dates of treatments, call x3717 or email facilities.management@brocku.ca.
