Provost Neil McCartney has announced a new interim leadership structure for the Brock University Library, which will be implemented this summer.

Jonathan Younker will be appointed Interim University Librarian; Laurie Morrison is to become Interim Associate University Librarian, Collections and Liaison Services; and Elizabeth Yates will be the Acting Head, Liaison Services.

The appointments are effective Aug. 1, on a term that runs until June 30, 2016. The changes are necessary as the current Interim University Librarian, Barbara McDonald, is leaving Brock at the end of July to take a position at University of Guelph.

Younker has held several positions since first joining the Brock library in 2002, including four years as Electronic Services Librarian. He has been Acting Associate University Librarian since last July.

Morrison came to Brock in 2006 from Mohawk College, and was appointed Head of Liaison Services in 2009.

Yates joined Brock in January 2013, after having worked at libraries at McMaster and Western universities.
