Brock rowing wins double gold at major regatta competition in U.S.

Brock's women's pair and men's freshman/novice lightweight eight rowing teams both won their divisions at the largest collegiate regatta in the U.S.

Brock’s rowing team captured two gold medals at the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta in Pennsylvania. The women’s pair and men’s freshman/novice lightweight eight both won their divisions at the largest collegiate regatta in the U.S.

Jen Beaudette and Katie Klassen battled a strong headwind to defeat Wheaton by five seconds in the women’s pair final. The duo advanced after posting the fastest times in their preliminary and semifinal races. It also marked a successful debut for coach Vince Amodeo.

The men’s lightweight eight led for most of the final race to win by 18 seconds over Delaware. The team, which is coxed by Earl Cabaluna, includes James Potts, Scott Klassen, Taylor Ashwood, Matt Druken, Connor Pepper, Evan Bull, Can Kilic and Eric Buchanan and is coached by Mike Purcer.
