The Cairns Family Health and Bioscience Research Complex will experience a brief power interruption tomorrow morning (Thursday, April 17) in order to conduct an electrical upgrade.

In anticipation of this work, Brock’s Facilities Management staff will switch the Cairns Complex to back-up power tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. Building occupants will notice a short 30-second power outage as the feeders are changed over.

Due to this scheduled power interruption, sensitive equipment such as computers or any other services that are not connected to an uninterruptable power supply should be shutdown prior to leaving for the day today - Wednesday, April 16.

The switch back to the building’s normal electrical configuration will take place the week of April 28. A notice will be sent out once a date and time have been scheduled.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact Facilities Management Customer Service at x3717; or Dave Corbett, manager of electrical services at x6201;
