First Brock NSSE survey prize winners announced

Nicole Ens, a first year geography student, is this week’s first grand prize winner as part of Brock’s National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE).

As of yesterday, 25.5 per cent of invited Brock students have responded to the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) survey.

Juan Xu, director of Institutional Analysis and Planning at the University, is impressed with the responses received from students so far.

“These numbers demonstrate that our students are willing to provide input about their experiences inside and outside the classroom at Brock and that they care about the future of the University,” says Xu.

In appreciation for participating, students who complete the survey are automatically entered in a random draw to win either one of four iPad Airs (worth $600) or one of four Campus Store gift cards (with a value of $600). Survey participants are also eligible to win one of the five $20 gift cards to Union Station provided by BUSU.

Nicole Ens, a first year geography student was this week’s first grand prize winner of one of the four iPads. Two other first year students, David O’Connor and Kaithlyn Jenkins, won the $20 BUSU gift cards.

Three more prize draws are scheduled to take place on Monday March 10, 17 and 24.

Grand prize winners of each draw get to choose between an iPad Air or a $600 Campus Store gift card. A $20 BUSU gift card will also be given out each week.

Xu is grateful to the University community for their help and support of this year’s NSSE initiative. This includes Marketing and Communications, Student Life and Community Experience, Career Services, Athletics, Co-op Services, Goodman Career Development Office, BUSU, Registrar’s Office and Associated Deans.
