Latest cultural series public lectures happen Oct. 22-23

He was the secretary-general for the Canadian Commission for UNESCO.

Now David Walden is the latest high profile speaker to take to the podium in this year’s Walker Cultural Leader Series.

Walden, hosted by the Centre for Studies in Arts and Culture, will give two free public lectures this week, including one about the role of culture in international development on Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. in Sankey Chambers. The other, about cultural property legislation, happens Thursday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. at Rodman Hall.

During his week at Brock, Walden will participate in seminars and classes with students.
