With its bold colours and abstract images of musical instruments, Marc Jordan’s artwork could be called sharp.

The singer-songwriter, record producer and visual artist who studied film at Brock prefers calling them something else.

Flat Music.

“They are the same as music for me in their creation,” Jordan explains about his mixed media canvases.

Jordan’s artwork, created with graffiti markers, house paint and acrylics will be exhibited and available for sale in the lobby of the Sean O’Sullivan Theatre from Sept. 25 to Oct. 16.

This is Jordan’s first exhibit at the Centre for the Arts, though not the first time his name has been on the centre’s bill. Jordan has performed on stage there with his band, wife Amy Sky and as part of Lunch at Allen’s, a quartet that also features legendary Canadian musicians Murray McLaughlin, Ian Thomas and Cindy Church.
