Celebrate your friendships at Homecoming

Celebrate your friendships at Homecoming

Formerly known as Brock Days, Homecoming is a four-day celebration that brings students, graduates, faculty and staff together to honour Brock’s past and celebrate our future. So contact your former housemates, varsity buddies and best friends from Brock and join in the stomping and romping.

The laughs begin on Thurs. Sept. 19, where we will roast and toast Barry Wright at Tribute. Barry has been nominated several times for teaching awards and as a Maclean’s magazine “Popular Professor.” Thursday nights are still the night to celebrate at Isaac’s. Join us there to help kick off Homecoming in Brock style at the Kick-off Party.

On Fri. Sept. 20, there are numerous events to choose from, including golfing at the Brock University Alumni Association Golf Tournament to the ever-popular Grape Stomp. The day’s events end with Alumni Pub Night at the storied Mansion House in downtown St. Catharines, the longest-running licensed establishment in Canada.

Athletic events will dominate on Saturday, Aug. 21, with rugby, lacrosse and soccer matches being held on campus, and baseball and hockey being  held off-campus. Brock University Student’s Union will be selling Homecoming packages that will help current and former Badgers show off their school spirit.

If you would rather be indoors, then why not show your family where you went to school? Come on a campus tour and discover how much our campus has grown.  Saturday’s events continue throughout the day with about 200 Brock grads being inducted into the Cameo Club. President Lightstone will present each graduate with their own cameo pin – a symbol of their life long connection to their alma mater. Cameo Club is followed by Fine Food, Fine Wine, where Brock alumni and friends, in keeping with the ‘farm to table’ theme, will enjoy the best of Niagara’s cuisine and wines.

There are numerous reunions being hosted throughout Homecoming. Check out the list of confirmed reunions, or better yet, organize one. In addition, BUSU has a major performer planned for the Homecoming concert on the Saturday night. Don’t miss it, details are coming soon.

On Sunday, Sept. 22, why not come on a road trip with us?  Sign up for the Winery Tour: Bringing the city to the vineyard and experience Niagara’s best wineries among friends. There will be shuttles available from Toronto, Burlington and Niagara.

Whatever events you choose to attend, we know you’ll enjoy remembering and celebrating at Homecoming. We can’t wait to welcome you home Sept. 19-22.
