Serena Ryder performs at the Centre for the Arts on Oct. 11. Tickets are currently available to Hot Ticket members only.

Serena Ryder is playing Brock’s Centre for the Arts in October and you can’t get tickets.

What do you do? You could “stompa” your feet in disappointment but the better option is to become a member of the Centre for the Arts and score tickets to Ryder and any of the shows in upcoming Hot Ticket season before they go on sale to everyone else in September.

Tickets are now on sale to members only for the 44th professional entertainment season, featuring “the very best professional music, dance, theatre, comedy and family shows from Canada and around the world to the Niagara Region,” said Debbie Slade, Centre for the Arts director.

The season is filled with legendary Juno and Grammy award-winning musicians, actors, dancers and artists from all disciplines – world, folk, pop, roots and blues music, Canadian theatre, contemporary dance, and comedy. The extensive lineup includes perennial fan favourites and many others performing at Brock for the first time.

The Hot Ticket season kicks off officially on Sunday, Oct. 6 when legendary Canadian comedienne, Mary Walsh with her hit one-woman show Dancing with Rage, takes to the stage. The stellar opening month continues with musical performances by Ryder, Jane Sibbery, Marc Jordan, Roch Voisine, Ron Sexsmith, Jenn Grant, Jesse Cook, plus an award-winning powerful contemporary theatre piece by Mani Soleymanlou called ONE.

“It’s all about the live experience,” Slade said. “The 2013-14 Hot Ticket professional entertainment season is guaranteed to stimulate the imagination, surprise, enlighten, entertain, inspire and sometimes even challenge.”

Not only do members get early access to tickets, they get first dibs on great seating, save up to 20 per cent on regular ticket prices, get free parking and can bring a friend for free to certain events.

The Centre for the Arts is not just for adults. This year’s bill also includes fun and educational performances for the young theatre goer, and selected performances with special family and children’s rates.

Tickets are still $20 for university and college students and $5 eyeGO to the Arts tickets are available, starting Sept. 3, to high school students for all performances this season.
