The pedestrian bridge connecting the Chown Complex and Cairns Complex will be closed until May 6

Members of the Brock community using the pedestrian bridge that connects the Chown Complex to the Cairns Complex will have to take a detour for the next three weeks.

The East Bridge that links the third floors of both facilities will be closed until May 6.

This closure is to accommodate a significant construction change to the doors located at each end of the bridge.

“The project team will be reconfiguring the doors, tearing out the frames and inverting their operation,” says Scott Johnstone, facility manager, Cairns Family Health and Bioscience Research Complex.

“It is a significant change because they also have to rewire and recertify the security and fire systems related to both buildings at each end of the bridge.”

The repair will enhance access and security of both buildings.

“Invert their operation” haha what a silly way to put it
You’d think they could just install them the right way the first time.
Putting my tuition money to good use as always Brock.
