I was shocked to find a fresh grave with Victor’s name etched on the cross the last time I visited my parent’s gravesite. I was saddened to know that Vic had passed away. A professor, a friend, a confident and distant family member we had long since moved on with the flow of life. I had always intended to phone, or to drop by but like so many too late. Peace be with you dear friend.

I am saddened to hear of Professor Tomovic’s passing. I recently purchased one of his books called “Canadian Serbs: A History of their Social and Cultural Traditions (1856-2002).” Reading the book will have a more poignant meaning now. I also recall briefly meeting him a few years ago at a large Serbian social gathering. My condolences to his family and friends.
