Three questions with… Jonathan Younker

Jonathan Younker is head of Library Systems and Technologies in the James A. Gibson Library. He has worked at Brock for almost 10 years — four as electronic services librarian and six in his current role. He lives in downtown St. Catharines with his wife Karen (who is nine months pregnant), their four-year-old son Xavier and their dachshund/pitbull mix, Sassy.
What do you like about your job?
I love the challenges of working with technology in such a complex and fluid environment, and I love working with extremely talented and creative individuals.
What do you do for fun?
I play guitar (badly) and piano, and like puttering around in my vegetable garden.
Where did you go on your last vacation?
My wife, son, and I drove down to Hunter, NY for Mountain Jam this summer; a four day music festival with 40+ bands in the Catskill mountains, where we camped with friends. The highlight was getting to see and meet the Avett Brothers.
