Personal Branding Seminar
Date: Wednesday, February 10, 2016
Time: 2:00-5:00pm
Location: Cairns 207, Brock University
Cost: FREE

Why personal branding? If you don’t brand yourself, you can rest assured others are branding you…and that is a risky scenario. In this highly practical and interactive session, learn how to influence and control your reputation, your image and the intangible perceptions and unconscious feelings you create in others. In this seminar, you will explore how to differentiate yourself from your competition, position yourself clearly in the mind in others so they reach out to YOU, focus your message and your mission, understand your underlying values, create emotional connection and loyalty, and maximize the use of social media.

This informative seminar will be led by Janice Locke is a Senior Executive, Entrepreneur and Educator who has held the positions of CEO, COO and CFO for a variety of companies ranging from $40 million - $225 million in North America and Europe. She is the recipient of both the Women of Influence and Women of Distinction Awards for Business Leadership and Community Involvement. As a CEO of an international retail branding and image company, Janice became fascinated by the importance and often unconscious role branding plays in influencing both business and personal success. In addition to teaching at McMaster University, and the Rotman School of Business, Janice partners with private and not-for profit organizations in all aspects of business leadership and success.

This seminar is open for all Niagara youth ages 18-29 to attend. Registration link: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/personal-branding-seminar-tickets-19931228842

When we think if IDM products, we typically think of games, apps, websites for entertainment purposes. However, Ontario is home to many innovative companies using IDM applications in new ways, from interactive experiences designed for children with physical and cognitive disabilities, to innovative methods of supporting health care providers through apps and UX design, to media management applications for brands, animation studios, and visual design studios.

Join us for series of case studies from Ontario companies using IDM in new ways.
