Terms and Conditions

The contest is sponsored by Brock University Brock Alumni Relations and is open exclusively to Spring graduates of the Class of 2023 from Brock University.

Brock University Alumni Relations will determine winners’ eligibility in its sole discretion. Brock University Alumni Relations staff (including family members), and the current Brock University Alumni Association Board of Directors (including family members) are excluded from entering this contest.

The Convocation giveaway contest opens online starting February 8, 2023 and closes on June 23, 2023. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on June 23, 2023.

Requirements. To qualify for entry to this contest, you must be graduating from a degree or certificate program from Brock University in June 2023 by the contest deadline; update your contact information with Brock University Alumni Relations online before the contest deadline; provide a personal non-Brock email when updating your contact information to be eligible for the draw.

Prizes. There will be a total of one prize including a one night’s stay for two (2) at the W Toronto (90 Bloor St. E Toronto, Ontario) with all day access to the lounge, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, a 5 p.m. hot buffet, access to the hotel’s breakfast buffet in the morning; a $600 gift card to Novo Spa; and a $300 gift card to The Keg Steakhouse & Bar.

There is a limit of one (1) entry per eligible entrant. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

The prize will be drawn randomly on June 26, 2023. The selected winner will be contacted by email using the contact information provided in their entry. If the selected winner cannot be contacted within five (5) days following the first attempt at contact, or if the selected winner declines the prize, another random draw will occur. The Convocation giveaway winner agrees that their name may be announced on Brock University’s website and/or other mediums if selected. Prizes are non-transferable and must be accepted as awarded. Prizes are not convertible into cash.

Personal Information. Brock University will use personal information collected from entrants to administer the contest and maintain communications with graduates after Convocation. Brock University will not share personal information relating to entrants with any third parties, except as may be required by law.

Brock University reserves the right to amend these contest rules or to terminate the contest at any time without any liability to any entrant. Brock University assumes no liability for any loss, damage or injury, including but not limited to lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late, destroyed, ineligible or incomplete entries. The decisions of Brock University in relation to this contest will be final and binding on all entrants.
