Service-Learning Opportunities

Service-learning combines academic study, community involvement and critical reflection. Students will collaborate with community partners on community-based issues. Service-learning opportunities can be placement-based or project-based. https://brocku.ca/service-learning/faculty/opportunities-2

Brock Cares: Days of Service/Alternative Reading Week

Looking for some help with a particular project?  Our Brock Cares: Days of Service provide opportunities for Brock students, staff and faculty to give back to the community through group projects and initiatives in collaboration with community partners and agencies.  We host Brock Cares Days in September, October, February, June, July and August.  If you are interested in submitting a project, please visit http://www.brocku.ca/student-community-outreach/brock-cares-alternative-...

On-going Volunteer Recruitment and Awareness

ExperienceBU

ExperienceBU is an on-line tool designed to give students a one-stop-shop location for all the ways they can engage in the community both on and off campus to make the most of their time as a student. Community organizations are invited to make a profile for their organization and are able to post events and volunteer opportunities for students. https://www.brocku.ca/student-community-outreach/exbucommunityreg

VolunteerFEST

Each fall we host a volunteer fair for members of the Brock community (students, staff, faculty and alumni).  The event is held the second week of September and is open to all local agencies and organizations.  There is a  $15 registration fee to participate in the event. http://www.brocku.ca/student-community-outreach/volunteerfest

Table Bookings

Looking for some face to face time with students?  We are happy to provide you with a table in one of the busy corridors around Brock.  This is a great opportunity to talk directly with students whether you are recruiting volunteers or bringing awareness to the work of your organization.  Table bookings are free of charge and must be booked 5 business days in advance. Please email studentlife@brocku.ca to book a table on campus.

Volunteer Training

Room Bookings

Looking for a space on campus to interview Brock volunteers or hold a training session for your fresh student volunteers?  We can help! Room booking requests can be made by emailing studentlife@brocku.ca. Room booking fees vary based on the space and set up of the room.
