Mathematics Education Research and Mathematics Teaching: Illusions, Reality, and Opportunities
CMESG 2013 Pre-Conference hosted at Brock University on May 24, 2013
There is agreement among mathematics education community on the importance of integrating mathematics education research and mathematics teaching. However, there is similarly a widespread debate and discussion within the community about whether or not mathematics education research should or does inform mathematics teaching practice. It is in this context that the theme of the preconference is based on. The pre-conference will feature a keynote, panel and small group discussions. It extends to the opening of CMESG conference, including the BBQ dinner, a keynote, and reception.
